See Why UNITS Atlanta Customers Are "So Happy"
UNITS Atlanta Has a NEW 5-Star Customer Review
Read our latest 5-Star Customer Review: "So happy that I found this wonderful company to store my furniture while my wood floors were being refurbished. They came when they told me they would, the unit was totally safe from the elements. I know because there was a major storm the same night that all my belongings were stored. When I had everything moved back, all was in perfect condition, no water or moisture issues. Reliable company."

UNITS Atlanta Breaks Down Spring Cleaning
What amazing weather Atlanta has seen this week! Sunshine, birds singing and the sound of our kids playing outdoors. This great weather has give me Spring Fever. With Spring comes the dreaded Spring cleaning we are all so fond of. Yuck...what a pain! This year lets do it together! UNITS Atlanta will be breaking down process for you over the next few weeks to make it more manageable.
1) Find the Problem Areas by Room:
Can you fix a problem if you don't know what it is? I sure can't! So let's start by looking at each room in our homes and making lists of all the problem areas. For instance:
Instead of cleaning these areas to come back and clean them again in a week lets take a moment to figure out why they came to this state of chaos. Why are the shoes in the entry way? After we figure out the "Why?" we can work on solving this problem forever!
3) Find a Solution:
Lets find that solution! Are you in need of organization tools or perhaps a portable storage container? Is it happening because you don't have the right stuff or you have too much stuff? Sometimes bad behaviors and normal responsibilities have not been neglected. It is so easy to start overlooking bad habits when you are so busy and overwhelmed.
4) Implement that Solution:
Order your UNIT and buy those organizational tools you need to put your plan into action. Get the family involved in setting up these new tools. Teach the family how to use these new items and clearly explain what is expected from each member. Bad habits are hard to break so be patience while trying to get everyone on board.
Room by room break down starts next week. UNITS Atlanta can be reached at 678-838-6556 and one of our local Customer Care Specialists are waiting for your call.

Portable Storage Tip: Choose Secure Strapping System
When you compare portable storage companies, be sure to ask if there is a mechanism for securing your treasured belongings during transit. This is a critcal question to ask. You'll want an integrated channel strapping system to safely secure your fine furniture and belongings to the sides of the container for safekeeping during transit. Some companies merely offer eyehooks, or worse yet, nothing at all.
As you consider who you will choose to move your cherished possessions, remember it pays to think twice about quality and reliability.

Moving Back Home? UNITS Can Help
Like everyone else, you’ve been riding the economic rollercoaster of life. We certainly have at UNITS Mobile Storage. We’ve been helping customers who have been foreclosed upon as well as those moving back home after losing a job or being unable to find one. With national unemployment holding steady at around 10%, more people are heading back “home” than ever before.
If you’re a recent college grad or someone struggling to find a regular paycheck and are leaning on your parents, friends, or other family members right now for a place to live, the following tips might prove useful. UNITS can help you move home and share ways you can save a little money while you get back on your feet.
• Sell it! When you live on your own, you tend to accumulate a lot of things (e.g. trinkets, excess furniture, and accessories), so host a yard or garage sale and turn those items into a profit. Post the sale on Craigslist or eBay. Remember, one man’s “trash” is another man’s treasure.
• Find another use for it! Many items have a variety of uses; just employ some creativity. Do you still have that giant CD player that once was the centerpiece of your old entertainment center? Simply add the speakers to your computer, and voila, you have an enhanced sound system. Or, try turning your college poker table into a kitchen table. It can be fun and eclectic. You get the gist.
• Go digital! Transfer CDs and movies, which just take up extra space, onto your computer, MP3 player or cell phone, and then sell the originals.
• Store it! You might find yourself in possession of a washer and dryer, with no room to store it. You don’t want to get rid of them, because let’s face it, they aren’t cheap. A simple solution, while you live temporarily at your folks or a friend’s house, is to store them (and other large items) in a UNITS portable storage container in a temperature-controlled warehouse. That will save you from having to invest in new ones down the road.
• Give it to charity! The best thing to do with unwanted belongings you don’t feel comfortable selling, but know someone else could really benefit from, is to give them to charity. There are millions of charities out there and most would be more than willing to take on your “gently used” items. Identify a charity or two that you care about in your community and see if they can put your stuff to good use.
Moving back in with your parents may not be ideal, but it won’t be forever. Try to stay upbeat and allow others to help you during this economic rough patch. And, believe me, you are not alone!

UNITS Gears Up for National Moving Month
It Pays To Do Your Homework Before You Move
It's hard to believe it's already May -- National Moving Month -- the busiest time of year for changing residences. According to the U.S. Census, more than 37 million Americans move to a new home each year, and May is far and away the most popular month for moving.
Whether it’s your entire home or just a few pieces of furniture, homeowners across the nation are finding themselves in search of a mover or portable storage company they can trust. This is not as easy a decision as you may think with so many different options available. References are a great source of information for any and all moving options, which is why it’s highly recommended that you speak with friends and family who have recently moved and had a good experience before making your final decision. Researching consumer reviews online and even consulting organizations like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and American Moving & Storing Association (AMSA) can help to provide accurate information and help you avoid being victimized by scams.
Moving Company, Specialty Movers or Portable Storage?
How valuable is your furniture? The more it is worth, the more you should consider paying a premium price to hire a specialty mover. Some companies specialize in moving large furniture items like pianos or massive couches, and it may be worth a few more dollars to ensure that your valuables get to their new location undamaged.
A regular moving company can be a great option for a family moving from one state to another or an elderly couple that can’t move their belongings by themselves and need some extra hands on deck. As with any project that requires hired help, this can be expensive, but could be just what you need to make your move run smoothly.
Portable storage companies can be the perfect fit for people who have time on their side, need some flexibility, or can do the heavy lifting by themselves. Portable storage units can be dropped off at your current place of residence and then picked back up and moved to a new location once they are filled. They can even be stored in a temperature-controlled (heat & A/C) warehouse, or moved state-to-state.
Go With Your Gut
Only you know what type of moving option is the best fit for your specific situation. Assess everything you’re taking with you, consider where you need to move it and identify the pros and cons of each available option. Once you have your needs figured out, you can do your research, check references and reviews, and be well on your way to a smooth and efficient move.

The UNITS Mobile Storage warehouse provides A/C in the summer, as well as heat in the winter. That means your antiques, photos, candles, etc. will be kept cool and humidity free in our warehouse during the long, hot summer. Many companies simply offer climate control, which typically does not include air-conditioning. So, when you're checking around, be sure to ask questions and compare apples to apples.
UNITS Mobile Storage offers the most water tight, structurally secure containers in the industry. Call today for rates and reservations: 678-838-6556, Atlanta Portable Storage.
