UNITS Helps with Spring Cleaning the Garage

Let's get down to the nitty-gritty this week by Spring Cleaning the Garage. Your UNITS Storage container should be sitting right outside the garage and ready for you to utilize for this task. You can have you UNIT delivered by contacting your local Customer Care Specialist at 678-838-6556 if you have not done so already. I highly recommend waiting for the UNIT to arrive before tackling this job. If it's already there, let's get to it!

Supply List
  • UNITS Moving & Portable Storage container
  • Colored masking tape
  • Broom
  • Heavy duty duster
  • Step-ladder
  • Cleaning cloths
  • Small bucket with handle
  • Sponges
  1. Remove any vehicles that might currently be in the garage.
  2. With the colored masking tape divide your UNIT into 4 equal sections by taping off sections on the floor of your UNIT. (Designate one section for each: Keep, Toss, Donate, Sell. Don't forget to tape off a walk way for yourself between these categories so you can access them easily. Also, placing the Donate and Sell sections in the back of the UNIT will help you tremendously.)
  3. Remove all items in garage into your UNITS Moving & Portable Storage container into one of the above sections/catagories.
  4. Broom down the ceiling and the corners of all garage walls.
  5. Dust all shelves, hanging storage containers, and window sills.
  6. Place every item in the Keep pile back into the garage in a spot designated for it. (Don't pick something up without putting it in it's place.)
  7. Place "Toss" items in the garbage, have them picked up or haul them away.
  8. Leave your Donate and Sell items inside your UNIT until you are ready to have your garage sell. Sell what you can and then have a donation center pickup the rest.
